Hundreds join as Amit Shah leads 'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao' march in Haryana
Nov-05-2026

Hundreds of people joined Amit Shah as the Union home minister led the BJP's 'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao' march in Haryana’s Karnal. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Union Minister and Karnal MP Manohar Lal, State BJP chief Archana Gupta, the party's Haryana in-charge Smriti Irani and several State Ministers joined the march, along with hundreds of party supporters. The ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ (Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy) march took place from Sector-12 to Dayanand Chowk.

Addressing the gathering after the march, Mr. Shah accused the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha of spreading anarchy in the country. He also claimed that Rahul Gandhi has turned creating a ruckus in Parliament and resorting to boycotts into a culture of the Congress.

The ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ campaign comes against the backdrop of continuing confrontation between the BJP and the opposition parties over allegations of electoral irregularities and the functioning of democratic institutions. Shah also joined a padyatra in Hyderabad on November 2, and the party has held similar marches in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Bareilly.

Shah also renewed his call for a special session of Parliament to discuss the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and challenged the Opposition to participate in a debate on the issue in Parliament.
