Rupee shows mild strength against US dollar on Tuesday
Nov-03-2026

Indian rupee has shown mild strength against US dollar on Tuesday amid overnight fall in crude oil prices following hopes of peace talks between US and Iran. Further, capital inflows from foreign institutional investors (FIIs) supported the domestic currency. FIIs were the net buyers in Monday’s session with net buying of Rs 3,114.68 crore. Investors remained optimistic after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government will continue to support economic growth by undertaking capital expenditure (Capex) until private sector investment gains momentum. Meanwhile, traders remained cautious ahead of US mid-term elections. On the global front, euro has softened marginally against the US dollar on Tuesday after France’s budget deficit widened to 155.4 billion euro in the January-September 2026 period.

Finally, the rupee ended at 94.80 (Provisional), strengthened by 4 paise from its previous close of 94.84 on Monday. The currency touched a high and low of 94.88 and 94.60 respectively.
