Rahul Gandhi to hold 'Hisab Maango' rally in Punjab on Nov 4
Oct-26-2026

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address a ‘mammot’ 'Hisab Maango' rally in Punjab's Sangrur on November 4, marking the launch of the party's campaign for the 2027 Assembly polls. The announcement was made by All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary K.C. Venugopal. He stated that the people of Punjab seek a complete change of government.

AICC General Secretary said the rally on November 4, led by Rahul Gandhi, is expected to be a major public gathering. He said Rahul Gandhi had a strong connect with the people of Punjab and claimed that his vision and ideas were gaining traction across the country, particularly among young people and Gen Z.

Venugopal also criticised the state administration, alleging a collapse in law and order and describing Punjab as becoming the epicentre of the drug mafia. He added,’ We need to eradicate all this evil. Our goal is to win back Punjab and save Punjab from these evil forces. The Congress party is very much confident that we are going to form the government in Punjab’.

Venugopal also defended Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s controversial ‘Modi Ka Baap’ remark, saying it was directed at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in an ideological context rather than at an individual.
