Lords Chloro Alkali starts commercial operations of Captive Solar Power Plant in Rajasthan

Lords Chloro Alkali has successfully commissioned and commenced operations of its 14.5 MW (AC) 21 MW (DC) Captive Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant together with a 1.672 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Lunkaransar, District Bikaner, Rajasthan. The project has been commissioned on September 2, 2026 after completion of synchronization with the grid and receipt of the necessary commissioning certification from the competent authorities.

The project has been established for captive consumption and is expected to increase the company's share of renewable energy consumption around 40%, reduce dependence on Grid Electricity which is expensive, improve long-term energy cost efficiency and support the company's sustainability and environmental objectives.

With the commissioning of this project, the company's total installed captive / group captive renewable energy capacity has increased to 47 MW (DC), further strengthening its commitment towards sustainable and cost-efficient operations.

Lords Chloro Alkali (LCAL) is engaged in production of wide ranges of chemicals i.e. Caustic Soda, Chlorine, Hydrogen, HCL, Stable Bleaching Powder and Tri Chloro Ethylene, mainly catering to the markets in North India.
