Waaree Renewable inches up on signing ECI agreement for utility-scale solar PV project in New Zealand

Waaree Renewable Technologies is currently trading at Rs. 932.20, up by 0.60 points or 0.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 931.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 934.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 939.10 and Rs. 931.00 respectively. So far 11182 shares were traded on the counter.

Waaree Renewable Technologies has signed an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Agreement with a Special Purpose Vehicle of a leading global Independent Power Producer (IPP) (Principal), for development of utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) project integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in New Zealand, in consortium with two experienced local companies. This marks the company’s strategic entry into the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) renewable energy market.

This is an early-stage engagement for preliminary work and upon completion of ECI work, Principal may sign the EPC contract for the project with consortium. The ECI Agreement is valid for a period of around 4 months with parties developing project within such period. The project execution timelines shall be for a period of 24 months upon signing of contract.
