Rupee weakens against US dollar on Wednesday
Jan-25-2023
Indian rupee weakened against the US dollar on Wednesday, despite weaker American currency at overseas markets. Moreover, weak domestic equities, a rebound in oil prices, and foreign fund outflows from the capital market, kept the currency market under pressure. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the capital market on Tuesday as they sold shares worth Rs 760.51 crore, exchange data showed.

The partially convertible currency is currently trading at 81.65, weaker by 2 paise from its previous close of 81.63 on Tuesday. The currency touched a high and low of 81.6550 and 81.5050 respectively.
