Copper futures end higher on Friday

Copper futures ended higher on Friday after regulators in China pledged support for firms with liquidity issues brought on by months of slowing growth. However, pressure from lingering trade dispute between the United States and China, capped some gains.

Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0315 to settle at $2.7780 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. While, copper on the London Metal Exchange closed up 1 percent at $6,220 a tonne.
