Copper futures settle higher on Tuesday

Copper futures settled higher on Tuesday due to optimism about demand prospects from major economies amid signs of improvement in manufacturing activity. Copper price further rose by expectations of tight supplies.

Copper futures for May delivery gained $0.039 to settle at $4.4735 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. While, Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down by 1.25 percent at $9,706.50 a ton.
