Gold futures finish lower on hawkish Fed interest rates
Oct-14-2026
Gold futures finished lower on Tuesday, followed by an 18-month peak of dollar rates and on soaring Treasury bond yield notes. Additionally, hawkish Federal Reserve interest rate outlook and caution ahead of Wednesday's critical US Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation data, also saddled yellow metal prices.

Gold futures for December delivery down by $13.30 or 0.31% to settle at $4,177.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose by $6.87 or 0.17% to $4,167.61 an ounce.
