Crude oil futures ended marginally higher on Friday as traders await more concrete developments regarding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. While President Donald Trump claimed the U.S. is having ‘productive discussions’ with Iran, traders seem to be growing weary of similar claims failing to result in significant progress toward a deal.

Benchmark crude oil futures for November delivery jumped by $0.36 or 0.39% to settle at $91.85 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery surged by $0.19 or 0.18% to settle at $104.47 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
