Gold futures finish higher as dollar dips
Oct-07-2026

Gold futures finished higher on Tuesday, kindled by the retreat in dollar from its previous 18-month highs making the precious metal affordable to foreign-currency holders. Besides, trimmed expectations over Federal Reserve interest rate hikes and lingering geopolitical uncertainties buoyed the yellow metal investments.

Gold futures for December delivery up by $30.30 or 0.72% to settle at $4,187.10 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold slipped by $17.39 or 0.42% to $4,146.79 an ounce.
