Sep-19-2026
Gold futures finished higher on Friday, marking first weekly gain in four weeks by jumping about 0.36%. The yellow metal got support from a softer dollar, sharp decline in crude oil rates, and on safe haven appeal with the lingering geopolitical tensions. Strategic central bank shifts, highlighted by China expanding its physical gold reserves while reducing its US Treasury holdings, also buoyed the investment appeal of the precious metal

Gold futures for December delivery up by $25.20 or 0.57% to settle at $4,424.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While spot gold rose by $36.93 or 0.85% to $4,378.63 an ounce.
