Gold futures finish higher on softer dollar
Sep-18-2026

Gold futures finished higher on Thursday, after dollar pulled from a seven-week high. Further, ease in inflation fears with the plunge in global crude oil rates, looming geopolitical tensions and lower bond yield notes buoyed the investment appeal of the bullion.

Gold futures for December delivery up by $12.20 or 0.28% to settle at $ 4,399.70 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose by $18.61 or 0.43% to $ 4,360.31 an ounce.
