Crude oil futures end lower amid easing supply concerns
Sep-18-2026

Crude oil futures ended lower on Thursday as supply concerns in the Middle East eased following Saudi Arabia’s efforts to get its vital oil pipeline, which was hit by Houthi attacks, back to operations and U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks on talks with Iran. However, attempts by Houthis to gain control over the Bab el-Mandeb region renewed escalation threats.

Benchmark crude oil futures for October delivery decreased by $0.52 or 0.51% to settle at $101.91 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for November delivery fell by $1.01 or 0.95% to settle at $104.82 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
