Crude oil futures ended higher on Tuesday as supply concerns mounted after Saudi Arabia shut its East-West pipeline on Friday. In addition, the cancellation of talks between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members and Iran has left the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz uncertain.

Benchmark crude oil futures for October delivery increased by $4.44 or 4.38% to settle at $105.83 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for November delivery rose by $3.07 or 2.90% to settle at $108.75 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
