Crude oil futures ended marginally higher on Thursday after new U.S. strikes on Iran and renewed Israeli threats against Tehran heightened concerns about ‌disruptions to Middle East supplies. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said renewed attacks on Iran would likely be short-lived, reiterating his claim that the US controls the Strait of Hormuz after fresh fighting spiked energy prices and rekindled fears of an open-ended war.

Benchmark crude oil futures for October delivery rose by $0.29 or 0.32% to settle at $91.3 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for November delivery decreased by $0.11 or 0.12% to settle at $95.52 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
