Gold futures settled higher on Wednesday, snapping a three-session losing streak as intensifying geopolitical and economic uncertainties revived demand for the bullion’s safe-haven appeal. Meanwhile, weaker than expected US private jobs data, easing treasury yields and stabilising oil rates also boosted investment appeal of the yellow metal.

Gold futures for December delivery rose by $18.20 or 0.41% to settle at $4,414.60 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold surged by $47.24 or 1.08% to $ 4,428.92 an ounce.
