Aug-31-2026
Copper futures traded almost flat on Monday amid growing expectations that the Federal Reserve would hike interest rates next month following hawkish remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh. Meanwhile, traders are rushing copper shipments to the United States to beat possible new import tariffs which drain supplies in other parts of the world.

Copper futures for December delivery fell $0.0010 or 0.02% at $6.6580 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
