Federal Bank gets nod to raise $500 million via foreign currency bonds

Federal Bank has received approval for raising funds by way of issuance of foreign currency denominated bonds through the IFSC Banking Unit (IBU), GIFT City, of the Bank, in one or more tranches, for an aggregate amount up to the equivalent of $500 million, with a maximum tenor of up to five years, subject to such regulatory, statutory and other approvals, consents, permissions and compliances as may be applicable. The Board of Directors of the Bank at its meeting held on August 21, 2026, has approved the same. 

Federal Bank is a major Indian commercial bank in the private sector headquartered at Aluva, Kerala having many branches and ATMs spread across different States in India.
