Aug-06-2026

Copper futures settled higher on Wednesday, driven by speculation over potential United States tariffs on copper imports. Copper prices found further support amid low inventories and tightening global supplies following disrupted mining operations.  Weakening of US dollar also boosted investors' sentiment.

Copper futures for September delivery gained $0.0840 to settle at $6.7275 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 0.31% at $14,110.50 a ton.
