Gold futures finish near two-week high ahead of Fed meet

Gold futures finished near two-week high on Wednesday, as heightened tensions and supply route disruptions in the Middle East continued to spur safe-haven appeal of the bullion. Meanwhile, investors keenly awaited for cues on interest rate outlook ahead of the upcoming Federal Reserve policy meeting.

Gold futures for August delivery surged by $75.50 to 1.85% to settle at $4,151.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold down by $4.87 or 0.12% to $4,125.38 an ounce.
