Gold futures finish higher on safe haven appeal
Jul-21-2026

Gold futures finished higher on Monday, supported by safe-haven demand amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Additionally, a slight easing of the dollar, and declining bond yield notes also buoyed the yellow metal investments.

Gold futures for August delivery up by $2.90 to 0.07% to settle at $4,015.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold rose by $40.11 or 1% to $4,048.14 an ounce.
