Gold futures finished near a twelve-week low on Wednesday, saddled by the stronger bond yield notes and on rising dollar. The yellow metal investments plunged amidst rising fears of sticky inflation and impending interest rate hikes, triggered by the protracted conflict and the near-total blockage of energy exports from the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz.

Gold futures for August delivery plunged by $153.10 to 3.57% to settle at $ 4,133.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold down by $4.66 or 0.11% to $4,067.65 an ounce.
