Rail Vikas Nigam emerges as lowest bidder for Rs 129.46 crore project

Rail Vikas Nigam has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) from North Eastern Railway for ‘design, supply, erection, testing & commissioning of traction sub stations with associated switching posts for 2x25 KV AT traction feeding system in Varanasi-Prayajgraj section of Varanasi division of North Eastern Railway for capacity up-gradation work of electric traction power supply installations on Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) Mode’.

The cost of the project is Rs 129.46 crore including applicable taxes and is to be executed within 730 days.

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) functions as an extended arm of the Ministry of Railways. The company is in the business of executing all types of railway projects including new lines, doubling, gauge conversion, railway electrification, metro projects, workshops, major bridges, construction of cable stayed bridges, institution buildings etc.
