Crude oil futures end higher on Friday
Nov-08-2025

Crude oil futures ended higher on Friday on account of weaker dollar along with the vigorous U.S. push to encourage conventional energy instead of renewable energy despite reports of crude oil oversupply and low demand. A weaker dollar supports commodities priced in the U.S. dollar, as it makes them cheaper for international buyer. However, both benchmarks posted weekly declines of about 2% as leading global producers raise output.

Benchmark crude oil futures for December rose 32 cents or 0.54% at $59.75 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery gained 25 cents or 0.39% to settle at $63.63 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
