Baroda BNP Paribas AMC announces merger of Banking and PSU Bond Fund into Short Duration Fund

Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management (AMC) has announced addendum to the Scheme Information Document (SID) and Key Information Memorandum (KIM) of Baroda BNP Paribas Banking and PSU Bond Fund and Baroda BNP Paribas Short Duration Fund.

Baroda BNP Paribas Mutual Fund has informed that the Board of Directors of Baroda BNP Paribas Asset Management India (‘AMC’) and Baroda BNP Paribas Trustee India (‘Trustees’) have approved merging of Baroda BNP Paribas Banking and PSU Bond Fund, an open-ended debt scheme predominantly investing in debt instruments of banks, Public Sector Undertakings, Public Financial Institutions and Municipal Bonds (a relatively High Interest Rate Risk and Moderate Credit Risk scheme.) into Baroda BNP Paribas Short Duration Fund, an open-ended short term debt scheme investing in instruments such that the Macaulay duration of the portfolio is between 1 year and 3 years (a Moderate Interest Rate Risk and Moderate Credit Risk scheme). The merger will be effective from October 17, 2025 (Effective Date).

Further, SEBI, has also provided its no-objection for the merger of the Merging scheme into the Surviving scheme. The rationale for the merger and various scheme related details, are forming part of the letter is being sent to Unit holders of both the schemes.

All other features, terms and conditions of the scheme(s), as stated in the SID & KIM of the scheme(s), read with the addenda issued from time to time, remain unchanged. Contents hereof shall respectively form an integral part of the SID/KIM of the scheme(s) of the Fund as amended from time to time and all other features/terms and conditions as mentioned therein shall remain unchanged.
