Copper futures trade higher after US-China trade talks
May-12-2025

Copper futures were trading higher on Monday after weekend talks in Switzerland between the United States and China eased concerns of a trade war between the world's two largest economies. However, some gains were limited as the American currency strengthened against major peers overseas.

Copper futures for July delivery gained $0.0355 or 0.76% at $4.6885 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
